Serve in Our Church

Worship Leaders

Greeters are the "face of the church."  They stand by the entrance of the building welcoming guests and members to church.

Ushers assist worshipers before and during church services.  They stand by the sanctuary doors handing out bulletins and answering questions.  They also take the offering and help with communion.

Scripture Readers

Along with the pastor, readers proclaim the Word of God by reading the scripture lessons during worship.  Hearing God's Word is one of the most important reasons for gathering to worship and the lector duties are an important part of the worship celebration.  Readers of all ages are encouraged to participate.

JAM (Jesus and Me)

At Sunday services, children are invited forward for JAM.  This is a short message tailored specifically to children that encourages children to grow in their relationship with Jesus.

Altar Guild

Worship in church centers on the altar, the focal point representing all that God in Christ has done for us. The candles, the Bible, and the paraments (linens) all reflect the message of Godʼs love through Christ.  Members of the Altar Care Team are “caretakers “ of the altar, lectern, and baptismal font, along with their presentations. Additionally, Altar Care members prepare for worship by setting up and maintaining supplies for Holy Communion, Baptism, and the various festivals and seasons of the church year.

Being an acolyte is an up-close altar experience that is faith formative and puts youth in an active role in worship alongside the pastor and others.

Scripture is filled with references regarding the importance of believers worshiping together. We have many opportunities to be involved in music, such as, choirs, Praise Band, special music, and more.

Audio /Visual

Our audio / visual teams serve the church by helping create a worshipful environment, which include the soundboard team, presentation team, and video team.
