MISSIONS MINISTRY
"Sharing God's love by serving our community and our world."
10,000 Reasons Campaign is a response to what God has done and is doing in the lives of countless people and families here at Peace Lutheran Church. We have so many reasons - at least 10,000 - to be grateful for God’s faithfulness.
THE CURRENT SITUATION
Classroom and indoor recreation options are limited. Meeting and storage space is severely lacking.
THE PLAN
Highlights of this $1.5 million capital campaign include the construction of:
-
A new education space.
-
A new administration space.
-
Remodeling of existing administration space.

This $1.5 million includes $885,750 capital campaign plus the matching $600,000 gift by the Nesvold family.
THE OPPORTUNITY
To see this plan become reality, it will take all of us being as generous as possible. Here are ways to join in!:
-
Thank God for how your life has been blessed. Ask God how you might use your resources to support the ministry at and through Peace Lutheran.
-
Visit the website to make a multi-year pledge or one-time gift.
-
Consider how Peace Lutheran might fit into planning for your estate distribution someday.
The Result
More people will be drawn to attend Peace Lutheran.
Years of experience tells us that safety and fun set the stage for spiritual growth.
Peace Lutheran will be better equipped to minister to mind, soul, and body.
More lives will be impacted by the Gospel.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the matching gift funds work?
Every dollar pledged and paid within the three year campaign will be matched dollar for dollar up to $600,000 by a very generous gift by the Nesvold family.
What happens if we do not meet the whole financial goal of $885,000? Say perhaps we get enough for just the administration or just the education wing. Would we proceed with just one of those priorities?
If we do not meet the goal, we will have to see how much we did raise. Depending on that value, we will have another discussion and vote as to how to proceed as a congregation. We will know by the end of June what our commitment total is and can make decisions at that time.
What happens if we don’t get enough contributions for either the administration or education wing? What happens to the funds already committed?
The same principle applies. We will have another discussion as a congregation how to handle those funds.
Would we go into debt if we don’t raise enough funds?
We would need to discuss this as a congregation before making any decisions. The feasibility study pointed towards avoiding debt, but it may depend on how short the funds are. If it is a small debt, it may be more acceptable to the congregation.
What about people that only want their funds to go to education, not the admin spaces?
There is no distinction between the administration or education space when you contribute to the campaign. The Planning Team, which you were a part of and the Ministry Board had extensive discussions about whether to include both administration and education spaces in this campaign. We ultimately decided that the result of the feasibility study pointed to a majority of members wanting both spaces and that there were financial benefits to constructing both at the same time. Once you break ground once, it is more cost effective to do both.
When do contributions start?
July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2027
Can we make a 1-time donation to cover the 3 years and pay it upfront in July?
Yes, that would be great. We are encouraging a 10% down if it is an option in order to have funds available early to start on design.
What are the logistics of providing the payment?
First you send back your commitment card to Sue Beulke, which is completely confidential. Then you make a check payable to the church, with a note about the 10,000 Reasons Campaign. Families can decide the frequency they would like to contribute, for example, weekly, monthly, annually, etc.
