Serve
Each week at Peace, people just like you offer their time and talents to help make our weekend worship experiences a success. Whether by helping kids learn about Jesus, welcoming first-time guests, or pitching in behind-the-scenes with the technical team, every member of our Dream Team helps make a difference! No matter your gifts, your experiences, or your availability, there are plenty of opportunities to serve here at Peace.
Serve with Students
The student Dream Team serves 6th-12th grades. Their goal is to provide opportunities for students to discover for themselves who Jesus is and establish their own personal relationship with him. Student volunteers help create an environment for students to grow their faith and learn what it means to put their trust in God.
Serve with Guest Services
Chances are the very first interaction you had at Peace was with someone from our Guest Services team. Serving in a wide range of areas, the Guest Services team focuses on making all who come to Peace feel welcome each weekend. Whether it’s being a greeter, usher, preparing the coffee, helping first time guests, or more. The Guest Services team plays a major role in each guest’s weekend experience. Come make a difference as part of the Guest Services Dream Team!
Serve with Worship
Our worship Dream Team seeks to provide opportunities for people to encounter God. Here are just a few of the way they do this:
Scripture Readers - Readers proclaim the Word of God by reading the scripture lessons during worship. Hearing God's Word is one of the most important reasons for gathering to worship and the lector duties are an important part of the worship celebration. Readers of all ages are encouraged to participate.
JAM (Jesus and Me) - At Sunday services, children are invited forward for JAM. This is a short message given by church members that is tailored specifically to children that encourages children to grow in their relationship with Jesus.
Choir – As we sing, the focus is on Jesus! So regardless of what you sound like, you are welcome to sing aloud with us. On Sundays when the choir sings there is rehearsal at 8:15 a.m.
Praise Team – The goal of the praise team is to help the congregation focus on God and His Word with songs rich in scripture, so God is glorified and the worshipper is edified. It consists of singers and band members. Piano, guitars, and drums are the main components of the band.
Serve with the Technical Team
The technical Dream Team provide technical support for worship including projection, audio, and video. They are the behind-the-scenes help but we couldn't have worship without them.
Other Serving Opportunities
Our various Dream Teams help in many other areas too. From event teams to mission and outreach teams to member support teams, and more, their love and dedication is what makes Peace "worth the drive."
